More than 70 members of the hospitality community, including Destination DC, Events DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser’s office, the National Park Service, and the Trust for the National Mall, have coordinated efforts to make America's 250th a landmark event.

The nation's capital will serve as center stage for the national celebration of the semiquincentennial, symbolizing American independence with its rich history, vibrant culture and local experiences. 

The entire city of Washington, DC will be marking the occasion, including in all eight wards in the District. 

Starting at the end of 2025, and there will be reasons to visit DC throughout the year and not just during July 4.
