250th Festival: Celebrating Our Story

Kick off the yearlong celebration of America’s 250th anniversary at the National Portrait Gallery! We’re bringing the past to life in a festival for all ages that commemorates 250 years of art, history and culture. Dance along with live performances and take guided tours through the galleries. Enjoy story times, games and more! Participants can create art with friends and family and take home a booklet to celebrate the 250th all year long. This free community festival will highlight joyful moments and heroic stories that have shaped the nation.
